Hatchlings (6 months - 2 years)

In Hatchlings, you’ll find a very relaxed environment where the children are able to freely flow around the room, accessing areas of their choice and enabling them to learn through play alongside their peers. 

 

The room is separated into two parts in which the children are able to play and explore the different areas, such as getting stuck in with creative activities, role playing in the home corner or building within the construction area. 

 

One half of the room is turned into our 'sleep room' where the children go down for their nap. Sleep mats and cots are provided for the children to sleep upon depending on parents preference. 

 

Throughout the day the Hatchlings team like to get out and explore the outdoors, whether this be playing outside on the patio or going out for a walk to Endcliffe Park. 

 

As part of our daily routine the children are offered breakfast in the morning as well as AM/PM snacks. Sometimes they will have this outdoors, depending on the routine. They’ll also have lunch, provided by our outside catering company. 

 

Each day will be filled with enjoyment, laughter, songs and cuddles from our very experienced room practitioners. Each child will embark upon a personal journey which consists of lots of large group interactions and play, as well as special time with their key worker. We fully welcome and encourage the input of parents and carers into this journey.
