Forest School

Why Forest School? 

 

It provides holistic learning and the children with the chance to push themselves in a different environment and learn new skills, which they are less able to achieve within a classroom. These include, but are not limited to handling tools and making dens using a range of natural resources.

 

Being outdoors allows imaginations to run wild, creating a huge variety of role play opportunities whilst introducing new and exciting ways to utilise everyday resources and materials.

 

Not only does outdoor learning provide the possibility for enhanced physical development, it allows children to develop their understanding of the natural world and the importance of how to care for it.
